Request account deletion

Use this page to ask us to delete your TallyTrot account and personal data associated with it.

In your email, provide:

  • the email address used for your TallyTrot account;
  • your name, if applicable; and
  • a clear statement that you want your TallyTrot account deleted.

Keep your credentials private

Never send us your password, access token, invitation token, or scoring credentials. We will not ask you to email these items.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request. We may ask for enough additional information to confirm that you control the account, but we will not ask for your password or tokens.

What deletion covers

Once the request is verified and approved, we will close and delete the TallyTrot account. This includes:

  • the account and profile;
  • active authentication sessions and access tokens; and
  • personal data associated solely with the account, where it is not required for one of the reasons below.

This is account deletion, not account suspension, freezing, or deactivation.

What may be retained

We may retain limited information where reasonably needed for legal and accounting obligations, security and fraud prevention, audit and backup integrity, dispute resolution, archival or legitimate record-keeping purposes, and official competition records.

For example, event, entry, scoring, result, verification, and official score-sheet records may need to remain accurate and attributable so competition outcomes can be verified, corrected, and audited. Privacy-request correspondence and audit or diagnostic records may also need to be retained.

Where appropriate, retained records are access-restricted or de-identified. We remove or de-identify information in line with the target periods in our published retention schedule, subject to the exceptions described there. Automated deletion controls are still being implemented, so some records may be kept for longer where required for operational, legal, backup, archival, or legitimate record-keeping purposes.
